2004 Another year to enjoy!

While I've not replaced my motorcycle...I did something smarter.  I bought my own place in the Dallas area!  It's not the big beautiful home I once lived in, but it is cute and it is mine and it's a happy home!  :)

It needs a little bit of a face lift.  Next year I would like to take all the tile out (I've done a couple tile jobs in the last two years for friends...I'm gettin' the hang of it) and replace it w/ either updated tile and wood or all wood.

AND, the really really cool part, I'm about a quarter of a mile from the park.  It has some great roller blade trails.  So great that I actually went out and bought myself new blades this summer.  I started blading so much that I was getting blisters from the hard boot shell.  My new ones are awesome.  Even had to rotate the wheels already.

Oh, and I got open-water, scuba certified this summer...another one of those things I always wanted to do.  I'm ready to head back to Mexico!  Hopefully next summer.  :)

And uhm...I got my belly button pierced.  My friends say I never show it off...but I didn't get it for other people to see.  I got it cause I wanted it.

I also went back to San Jose, and then I went to New York.  Well, I went to New York twice but the first time didn't count.  It was so fast and no fun.  But, the second time, I went all by myself three days ahead of time.  I saw a Broadway show called Mama Mia, went to the Museum of Natural History (very cool), strolled Central Park and Battery Park, visited NoHo district and of course Times Square.  My hotel was one block off Times Square.  And the biggest accomplishment of my NY trip, I rode the subway, and I rode it ALL BY MYSELF, and didn't get lost!  Hehehe.  Very liberating.  I'm ready to visit any city now!

The sad news for this year.  My little Legacy crossed the Rainbow Bridge.  She died a couple of months ago from kidney failure.  She was most precious and she was so sweet.  She was there through the best and worst years.  And I loved her dearly.  Mo, my other baby, was very sad too.  He didn't eat well for a couple of weeks.

I hate for any little baby to be alone during the day, so I started thinking about getting Mo a new friend.  I looked for the perfect little playmate, and I think I ended up w/ a pretty good match.  She's not pretty, but she is absolutely a sweetie.  Kinda rowdy, but she's only a year.  She will settle in pretty well over the next few months.  And Mo has started warming up to her.  :)  She was a little pound puppy, and I drove over an hour to pick her up for a whopping $5.00.

This was also the year I decided to go back to school.  I'm in a psychology class just for the fun of it.  And I started volunteering at the run-away shelter because of it.  The shelter is certainly interesting.

The year isn't over yet, so if I find more trouble to get into, I will fill y'all in.  :)
