Hey Everyone, 2003 was a fun year. I moved out on my own again. Completely on my own, no roommate. It was a good for me to be a big gurl again. I started going to the coffee shop, hanging out w/ Bunnie and Nori. I learned to ride a motorcycle, (something I had wanted to do for years). I even bought one! But then it got stolen... *humph*. Oh well. I had a great time while I had it. I even started training to becoming a rider safety coach. But you can't be a coach if don't have a bike...and I haven't replaced it yet. I went on my first trip alone. It was to San Jose for a seminar. It was absolutely beautiful there. While I was there, I went up to Napa and visited my family. Dad had another emergency surgery. This one was tough on him (not that any of them have been easy!). But he recovered from the surgery, he has been amazingly resilient in post surgery. His back, well, it's just the way it is. He will forever more deal with that. This is the year I have found a best girlfriend. Haven't had one since Amy in high school. LaVonda and I have gotten to know each other and she is a lot of fun. She even took the motorcycle course after I did cause she thought it sounded fun! I did a few bicycle rides this summer and actually got on my rollerblades for the first time in years! I don't think I had even put a quarter mile on them till this summer. I did my first blade at Katy Trail and did a few miles the first try. It was amazingly easy. Then I ventured over to Fair Park where the surface is a little rougher. Happy to report that I did not fall down. :) Needless to say, it was another great year for the most part. If you don't have some icky moments, you can't really feel the richness of the great moments. |
